Legislative
Representing the interests of business to the government is a crucial
function of the Chamber. The Central Connecticut Chambers’
Legislative Action Committee provides Chamber members with
access to legislators and policymakers, working to improve
business conditions in the area and the state of
Connecticut.
The Committee works to support legislation that will provide
manufacturers with skilled workers through education programs
and training; help secure funding for the Central Connecticut
Revolving Loan Fund; and reduce the cost of doing business in Connecticut by lowering
state taxes.
The Committee’s high priority issues include the construction
of Bristol’s Southeast Business Park, along with other regional
economic and legislative needs of Central Connecticut.
